The great apes are our closest cousins, and their existence is threatened by illegal hunting, habitat loss, the pet trade, and disease. The good news is that many people are working together, seeking lasting solutions to conservation challenges. Join Jacqui Sunderland Groves of the Wildlife Co-existence Lab at UBC to learn about great ape ecology and her experiences at the “Jungle School” that has successfully reintroduced 330 wild Bornean orangutans in Kalimantan.
